haha I know, this is easily the biggest game so far this season. Yeah, I do remember that. I think that was in '07 when the Pats seemed like they
weren't going to have any competition most of the season and they thought the Colts could beat them or something like that. Pats/Colts is easily the best
rivalry in the NFL. I don't have to be at work until 10 on Monday so I'll be fine to stay up and watch the Colts win =P
Going into that playoffs, everyone was doubting the Colts because their run defense (with good reason) because they were going to be facing Larry Johnson, and
they completely shut him down, and then they did the same thing again to Jamal Lewis the next week. They play so differently with Bob Sanders, it's kind of
weird. They'll still win on Sunday without him =P.
But yeah the only game where Peyton really stood out was that epic AFC Championship game where they came back from 21-3 and where Brady was picked off on the
final drive, but I'm sure you remember that =P. I would've given the Super Bowl MVP to Bob Sanders. The defense really stepped up in the playoffs with
him playing and he had that key pick. The Colts were just way better than the Bears, so they would've won either way, but Sanders stood out the most imo. Original comment »

Weren't the Colts undefeated when they played the Pats that season? I'm sure the latest time ever in the season where two undefeated teams were
playing each other. I remember the Dallas game that season was a big deal at the time too and they were both like 4-0 or 5-0 at the time. Pats & Colts are
for sure the best rivalry in the NFL. The Jets and Fins can't hold a candle to the Colts, and the Bills? *laughs* I'm sure you feel the same about the
South Division doormats. :P
You're 100% right, their defense looked horrible during the season, then during the postseason suddenly completely morphed into a great one. Bob Sanders
dominates the game, and I for one am very happy he won't be playing on Sunday ^_^
Manning really turned it around in that game after that pick 6 to Asante Samuel. All the credit to the world to him for that, although he didn't too
good in the other games. The Bears were absolutely pathetic. :P
haha yeah I definitely can. I was just watching Around the Horn and PTI on ESPN and they're talking about the game and I think it's going to be epic no
matter what. Colts will win of course =]
I really don't know where to assess credit for the Colts Super Bowl win because it's not like there was one make or break play or drive in the game,
like how the Pats had those last drives in '01 and '03. The Colts just played a better game all-around, but Peyton definitely deserves a lot of credit.
I wouldn't have given him the MVP because of how well the defense, particularly Bob Sanders, played with all of those turnovers. So yeah. QB's get too
much credit for their teams success, most of the time. Original comment »

Reply from Quiddity: Everyone's talking about the game. :) Its the biggest event of the season. Do you remember a few years ago when they called it Super Bowl 42 and a half or
something like that when they met? LoL. I gotta get up early Monday morning, but tough shit, I'm staying up late to watch it all. :P To see my Pats win!
I was rather surprised looking back to find that Manning had a rather mediocre run in that Super Bowl run, 3 TDs 7 INTs, something like that. His defense
really stepped it up that year in the playoffs. I hardly think he deserved that Super Bowl MVP, then again I can see the argument that Brady probably
didn't deserve the first one. Had a single defensive player made two of those 4-5 huge defensive plays in that game they probably win it but it was all
different people.
no Brady's overrated. Part of me wants the Steelers to win the Super Bowl soon so that people can't use the argument "zomg Brady has 3 Super Bowls
how many does Peyton Manning have?????!!!!!1" because that way Ben Roethlisberger will have 3, too. Just because a team wins 3 Super Bowls that
doesn't mean the QB is good, that means the team is good.
and ugh I agree about the Yankees. Haven't they bought themselves enough World Series already? I hate it when people sell themselves out and sign with the
Yankees for a billion dollars. I suddenly lose interest in people like Sabathia, Teixiera, A-Rod, Johnny Damon (O_O @ him) when they sign with the Yankees.
That team has no personality o_O
BCS rankings are the worst. Last year they robbed us of what would've been an epic championship game in Florida/Texas. They also always favor sucky teams
that have no competition like USC and Ohio State. I'm still mad about how badly Auburn was screwed over in '04. I just hate USC and Oklahoma. Original comment »

Reply from Quiddity: The big game is only 2 days away! Can you feel the excrement? :)
BTW, how much credit do you give to Manning for winning the Super Bowl two years ago? Was just wondering. :)
If Matt effing Cassell can win 11 games for that team, I think it goes to show that Tom Brady isn't THAT special, but that's just my opinion. but the
Colts will win and that's a fact =P
I like the Phillies a lot but I wasn't going to be too upset if they lost because I saw them win the WS in person last year, so if they were playing the
Angels or whatever I wouldn't have cared all that much, but I was rooting for them pretty hardcore seeing as they were playing the Yankees. I mean, any
team with A-Rod, Posada, Joba Chamberlain, Nick Swisher, etc. is worth hating and the fact that they're the Yankees makes it even worse. WHY did they have
to win? =( I was so enjoying everyone calling them choke artists for these past 5 years...
I was really rooting for BC football back when Matt Ryan was their QB (he's from a town like 20 minutes away from me, too), and I like Atlanta now because
of him, but nowadays in college football if you're in the SEC, Big 12, or USC then you don't have a chance at anything. College football needs a
playoff system so bad... Original comment »

Reply from Quiddity: Brady's the best QB ever, just time to accept it! :) Let's see how Manning would do if he didn't have that cushy dome to play in. Five TDs in one
quarter? Only Brady can say that! :)
Ugh... I feel so mad about A-Rod having a ring... So few of those guys deserve it. -_- All about the Yankees outspending everyone by far. :( I loved saying
that the Yanks had no championships this decade.
BC & Matt Ryan <3 Hopefully they get into a BCS game at least someday after blowing it so many times. Would love a playoff! BCS rankings SUCK!
